السياق هو المهم

"اخرس يا أمي!" صرخات المرأة باللون الأحمر. "الذهاب القفز في البحيرة أو شيء!"

هذه الأصوات النكراء دون سياق. يمكن معرفة السياق أحيانا تغيير كل شيء في التفسير. حتى إذا كان الكائن الأم الشخص الإناث، فإن الصراخ على المرأة أن تكون في نهاية المطاف في وقاحة. ولكن، ماذا لو "أمي" كانت تستخدم في السخرية ضد زميل مزعجة باستمرار في وجهها. دعونا نقول اسم هذا الزميل هو بروس، وكان لديه عادة مزعجة من قول امرأة "الطريق الصحيح" لصنع القهوة أو برمجة آلة تصوير مستندات. الآن، لا يبدو أن الصراخ أكثر معقولية من وقحا؟

لذلك عندما نقرأ الآيات التالية، ونحن بحاجة إلى أن نتذكر سياق (القرآن 9: 5، 29):

فإذا انسلخ الأشهر الحرم فاقتلوا المشركين حيث وجدتموهم وخذوهم واحصروهم واقعدوا لهم كل مرصد فإن تابوا وأقاموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة فخلوا سبيلهم إن الله غفور رحيم

قاتلوا الذين لا يؤمنون بالله ولا باليوم الآخر ولا يحرمون ما حرم الله ورسوله ولا يدينون دين الحق من الذين أوتوا الكتاب حتى يعطوا الجزية عن يد وهم صاغرون

سياق الآيات المذكورة أعلاه كان "على حد سواء الهجومية والدفاعية وكان من المفترض للتطبيق في جميع أنحاء العالم." ويبين لنا كيف السياق وضعت التاريخ الإسلامي وكيف فهم العلماء المسلمين الكلمات. وينطبق هذا على الرغم من أن أجزاء السابقة من القرآن تقول أشياء سلمية ومحترمة عن غير المسلمين.

ومع ذلك، مستوى واحد من السياق كثيرا ما يغفل هو تاريخ الوحي الإلهي. لماذا هذا الأمر مهم جدا؟ وأول شيء هو طبيعة الله. الله لا يكذب أو تغيير. الشيء الثاني هو سجل كلماته، الذي وعد للحفاظ على سلامة. والتزم بوعده. الشيء الثالث هو نتيجة لتجاهل أو تغيير كلماته. هناك يوم واحد من الحكم القادم، ونحن لم نر حتى الآن.

وماذا في ذلك حقا يجري؟

أولا، تكلم الله لآدم وحواء، وكثير من الأنبياء على مدى آلاف السنين. أحيانا أعطى كلماته مباشرة من خلال صوت مسموع. في بعض الأحيان وجاء ملاك الرب. وأحيانا وكتب كلماته على لوحات حجرية. والشيء المهم هو أنه، والله، وقال إنه لا يمكن أن يكذب. وكانت رسالته دائما على حالها منذ تمرد آدم وحواء ضد وعصوا الله. الرسالة هي أنها محكوم عليهم بالإعدام، وفصلها عن تلك العلاقة الرائعة لديهم في الحديقة عندما تم إنشاؤها أولا. والرسالة هي أن ليس لديهم طريقة للخروج وليس وسيلة إلى الله إلا من طريقه، والذي كان من شأنه أن يوفر بطريقة خاصة، من خلال "البذور والمرأة". لأنها كانت عارية وبلا حول ولا قوة، وأظهر الله لهم طريقه عن طريق قتل الحيوانات البريئة واستخدام جلودها لتغطية آدم وحواء عراة. وتشير المرأة البذور والحيوانات جلود قدما إلى طريق العودة أن الله سوف توفر ما يلي: شخص يسوع المسيح.

ثانيا، تم الاحتفاظ بها كلمات الله على السجلات التاريخية على مدى آلاف السنين، من موسى (حوالي 1500 قبل الميلاد) إلى جون (حوالي 100 م). الرسالة بقيت هي نفسها: الأنبياء قبل يسوع تتطلع إلى ولادته وموته وقيامته. هذا هو لأنهم أدركوا أن يسوع سيكون تضحية من أجل خطاياهم، وسيكون عمل يسوع أن يكون الشيء الوحيد الذي جعل سعيد الله. كانوا يعرفون أيضا أن يسوع، الذي أخذ الله على جسم الإنسان في ماري، هو طريق الله ليبين البشر خاطئين الذي هو حقا بطريقة آمنة. بعد ذلك، بالطبع، جاء يسوع، تماما كما الأنبياء كان قد تنبأ في وثائقهم. ولد من عذراء، لم معجزات كثيرة، تقبل منه العبادة والله، عانوا وماتوا من أجل البشرية، وقام من بين الأموات وثم إلى السماء. وسجلت هذه الحقائق قبل أتباعه. لذلك كل هذه الوثائق تشكل كتابا بعنوان الكتاب المقدس. وقد تم الحفاظ على الكتاب المقدس بالنسبة لنا، ووعد الله، من خلال وثائق يمكن الاعتماد عليها والتي تكون أقدم بكثير من القرآن الكريم، ويمكن أن نراها في المتاحف في جميع أنحاء العالم اليوم.

ثالثا، لقد حاول الناس دائما للهجوم على الكتاب المقدس لأنه لا يتفق مع ما يؤمنون به. في حديقة، الثعبان، الشيطان، عندما يتحدث الى حواء، تضع علامة استفهام على كلام الله. استخدمت بعض الملوك سكينا لتقطيع الكتاب المقدس. قتلت آخرين الأنبياء. كما قتلوا ابن الله، يسوع. وبعد ذلك قتل أتباع يسوع، من جيمس وبيتر لالمبشرين والمؤمنين المسيحيين حتى يومنا هذا. لكنهم لا يستطيعون التغلب على كلمة الله. لا يمكن إلا أن يكون الحكم عليها من خلال كلمة الله يوم واحد.

لكن ما حدث في القرن 7TH في المملكة، بعد أكثر من 500 سنة جاء يسوع وتم الانتهاء من الكتاب المقدس؟ باختصار، تاجر يريد

 أن يكون أكثر نجاحا، وبدأ الادعاء بأن الله كان يتحدث إليه. وبطبيعة الحال، أميته، واضطرت إلى الاعتماد على زوجته النسبي للرسائل من "الله". تلبية بعض النجاح، وقال انه تطور من كونه التاجر الصغير لتصبح قوية الديني "رسول"، وأمراء الحرب سياسيا وعسكريا. وقال انه وحي الله في الكتاب المقدس عن نفسه والله واحد إلى شيء حتى أبسط عن طريق القضاء على صاحب ثلاثة أشخاص وحدة وطنية. احتفظ القوانين والتعاليم مناسبة للتسلية والسيطرة على أتباعه ولكن تجاهل الوحي من تضحية يسوع عن الخطيئة. وقدم الكتاب المقدس ومصادر أخرى مفيدة للله التوسع الديني والسياسي. وقال انه وضع الخوف في قلوب كل الذين يختلفون.

السؤال بالنسبة لنا الآن هو هذا: هناك ثمنا لدفع إذا يترك أي شخص في القرن 7TH "رسول" والقرآن للعودة إلى طريق الله إلى السماء من خلال يسوع وحده. هذا السعر هو مؤلم وربما قاتلة. في كثير من الأماكن، و"المرتدين" من الإسلام قتل على يد افراد اسرهن. ومع ذلك، الله أكبر، أكبر من أي دين أو الجيش. يوم واحد، سيكون لدينا جميعا أن نقف أمام الله. وقال انه يريد أن يعرف ما قمنا به مع صاحب الطريقة، ابنه. كنا أكثر خوفا من الناس الذين يمكن أن تقتل لنا في هذه الحياة، أو كنا أكثر خوفا من الله، الذي يمكن أن يلقي بنا إلى جهنم إلى الأبد؟

الله يحبنا. حتى قبل اتخاذ هذا العالم، وخلق آدم وحواء، كان يخطط بالفعل لإرسال ابنه يسوع لتكون التضحية. وأحب ابن الآب كثيرا أن كان مطيعا تماما له لتوافق على اتباع الخطة. والروح القدس، الشخص الثالث من الله بعد الأب والابن، وافق على وضع ضوء في قلوبنا إلى تغيير بنا إلى المؤمنين من رسالة الله الحلو. الله يريدنا أن يستدير وقبول الهدية من ابنه!

"Shut up, Mom!" screams the woman in red. "Go jump into the lake or something!"
This sounds awful without the context. Knowing the context can sometimes change everything in the interpretation. So if the object is a person's female parent, the woman's scream would be the ultimate in rudeness. However, what if "Mom" were used in irony against a colleague who constantly nagged at her. Let's say this colleague's name is Bruce, and he has an annoying habit of telling the woman the "right way" to make coffee or program the photocopier. Now, does the scream seem more reasonable than rude?
So when we read the following verses, we need to remember the context (Qur'an 9:5, 29):

فَإِذَا انسَلَخَ الْأَشْهُرُ الْحُرُمُ فَاقْتُلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَخُذُوهُمْ وَاحْصُرُوهُمْ وَاقْعُدُوا لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍ ۚ فَإِن تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ فَخَلُّوا سَبِيلَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَلَا يَدِينُونَ دِينَ الْحَقِّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حَتَّىٰ يُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَن يَدٍ وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَ

The context of the above verses was "both offensive and defensive and was meant for worldwide application." Context shows us how Islamic history developed and how Islamic scholars understood the words. This holds true even though earlier parts of the Qur'an say peaceful and respectful things about non-Muslims.
However, one level of context often overlooked is the history of divine revelation. Why is this so important? The first thing is the character of God. God does not lie or change. The second thing is the record of His words, which He promised to keep safe. And He kept His promise. The third thing is the result of ignoring or changing His words. There is a day of judgment coming, and we have not seen it yet.
So what really is going on?
First, God spoke to Adam and Eve and to many prophets over thousands of years. Sometimes He gave His words directly through an audible voice. Sometimes He came as the Angel of Yahweh. And sometimes He wrote His words on stone plates. The important thing is that, as God, He cannot lie. His message has always been the same since Adam and Eve rebelled against and disobeyed God. The message is that they are doomed to death, separated from that wonderful relationship they had in the Garden when they were first created. The message is that they have no way out and no way back to God except by His way, which He would provide in a special way, through "the Woman's Seed." Because they were naked and helpless, God showed them His way by killing innocent animals and using their skins to cover the naked Adam and Eve. The Woman's Seed and animal skins point forward to the way back that God would provide: the person of Jesus Christ.
Second, God's words were kept on historical records over thousands of years, from Moses (around 1500 BC) to John (around AD 100). The message remained the same: the prophets before Jesus looked forward to His birth, death, and resurrection. That is because they understood that Jesus would be the sacrifice for their sin, and Jesus' work would be the only thing to make God happy. They also knew that Jesus, who is God taking on a human body in Mary, is God's way of showing sinful humans who He really is in  a safe way. Then, of course, Jesus came, exactly as the prophets had predicted in their documents. He was born of a virgin, did many miracles, accepted worship as God, suffered and died for mankind, and rose from the dead and then into heaven. These facts were recorded by His followers. So all these documents form the book called the Bible. The Bible has been preserved for us, as God promised, through reliable documents that are much older than the Qur'an, and we can see them in museums across the world today.
Third, people have always tried to attack the Bible because it disagrees with what they believe in. In the Garden, the snake, Satan, when speaking to Eve, put a question mark on God's words. Some kings used a knife to cut up the Bible. Others killed the prophets. They also killed God's Son, Jesus. And then they killed Jesus' followers, from James and Peter to missionaries and faithful Christians even to this day. But they cannot overcome the Word of God. They can only be judged by the Word of God one day.
But what happened in the 7th century in Arabia, more than 500 years after Jesus came and the Bible was completed? In short, a merchant wanted to be more successful, and he started to claim that God was talking to him. Of course, being illiterate, he had to rely on his wife's relative for messages from "God." Meeting some success, he evolved from being a small merchant to becoming a powerful religious "Messenger" and political and military warlord. He made God's revelation in the Bible of Himself as one God to something even simpler by eliminating His three-person unity. He kept the laws and teachings suitable to amuse and control his followers but discarded the revelation of Jesus' sacrifice for sin. He made the Bible and other sources useful for his religious and political expansion. And he put fear in the hearts of all who would disagree.
The question for us right now is this: there is a price to pay if anyone leaves the 7th century "Messenger" and the Qur'an to return to God's way to heaven through Jesus alone. That price is painful and perhaps deadly. In many places, "apostates" of Islam are killed by their own family members. However, God is great, greater than any religion or army. One day, we will all have to stand before God. And He will want to know what we have done with His way, His Son. Were we more afraid of people who can kill us in this life, or were we more afraid of God, who can cast us into hell forever?
God loves us. Even before making the world and creating Adam and Eve, He already planned to send His Son Jesus to be the sacrifice. And the Son loved the Father so much that He was fully obedient to Him to agree to follow the plan. And the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of God after the Father and the Son, agreed to put the light into our hearts to change us into believers of God's sweet message. God wants us to turn around and accept the gift of His Son!
